There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedArka (7-12) beat higher ranked Start (12-8) in Gdynia 102-92 on Thursday. Arka dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Start 's 28 and made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Arka looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Serbian power forward Stefan Djordjevic (206-1998) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Nenadic (197-1994) supported him with 24 points and 6 assists. Even 21 points and 7 rebounds by Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (195-1991, college: Lamar, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Start . American guard Courtney Ramey (190-1999, college: Arizona) added 15 points and 5 assists for the guests. Five Start players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arka moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Start keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with King. Arka will meet Zastal (#14) in the next round. Start will play against Slask (#7) and hope to secure a win.
