There was a minor upset in Gliwice where 11th rankedStal (9-15) was defeated by thirteenth ranked GTK (9-15) 93-79 on Sunday. GTK dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Stal 's 36. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian guard Michael Oguine (188-1996, college: Montana, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Slovakian point guard Mario Ihring (193-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. GTK's coach Pawel Turkiewicz used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Belgian power forward Tim Lambrecht (210-1998) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Paxson Wojcik (196-2000, college: UNC) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GTK moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Stal and Arka.
