Regular Season Round 3: Lublin - Torun 76-61

Very expected game when Torun (0-3) was defeated on the road by Lublin (3-0) 76-61 on Sunday. Lublin made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Lublin outrebounded Torun 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Lublin looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Destiny Slocum (170-1997, college: Arkansas) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. helped adding 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Lublin players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Asianae Johnson (173, college: MSU) with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Slovakian Stella Tarkovicova (181-1999) scored 10 points. Torun's coach Elmedin Omanic tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lublin will meet Gdynia (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Torun will play against Poznan (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
