There was a minor upset when 6th rankedGdynia (6-6) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Bydgoszcz (5-7) 81-66 on Saturday. Bydgoszcz outrebounded Gdynia 52-35 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Asiah Jones (190-1998, college: Jacksonville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and Estonian forward Mailis Pokk (186-1992) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Bydgoszcz players scored in double figures. Bydgoszcz's coach Maciej Gordon used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Slovakian guard Barbora Wrzesinski (178-1994) with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and international forward Anna Jakubiuk (182-1994) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Bydgoszcz maintains ninth position with 5-7 record. Gdynia lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Wisla and Torun.
