Regular Season Round 15: Lublin - Gdynia 71-77

The game between second rankedLublin (12-3) and eighth ranked Gdynia (7-8) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Lublin was defeated by Gdynia in a tough game in Lublin 71-77 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lublin. The best player for the winners was American center Camille Hobby (190-2001, college: Illinois) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import Leah Scott (183-1993, college: Marshall) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gdynia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Robbi Ryan (175-1997, college: Arizona St.) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and international center Kamila Borkowska (201-2002) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sosnowiec and Torun. Lublin at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Gdynia is looking forward to face higher ranked Poznan (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lublin will play against Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
