Very expected game when 12th rankedSwarzedz (4-13) was smashed by fifth ranked Widzew (12-5) in Lodz 79-45 on Saturday. Widzew dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Swarzedz 's 26. Widzew forced 24 Swarzedz turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Natalia Panufnik (182-1996, college: USC Upstate) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Julia Drop (174-1995) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Power forward Magdalena Ratajczak (188-1995) came up with 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Agnieszka Bartczak (184-2004) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Swarzedz in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Widzew moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ziebice. Loser Swarzedz dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Lublin 2 and Torun 2.
