There was no surprise when 10th rankedStal (9-13) lost to third ranked Tarn.Gory (19-3) in Stalowa Wola 84-91 on Saturday. Tarn.Gory dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Stal SW 's 34. They outrebounded Stal 42-25 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tarn.Gory looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Power forward Piotr Karpacz (202-1998) notched 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Ukrainian swingman Yaroslav Fomichov (196-1994) supported him with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Even 27 points (made all of his eight free throws) by guard Wiktor Siemianiuk (186-2004) did not help to save the game for Stal . Guard Maciej Paterek (182-2006) added 21 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Tarn.Gory moved-up to second place, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. and AGH Krakow. Loser Stal SW keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Jaroslaw and Slask 2.
