There was no surprise when 8th rankedPolonia W-wa (7-11) was defeated on the road by second ranked Lublin (14-4) 79-62 on Sunday. Lublin dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Polonia W-wa 's 26 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Polonia W-wa 43-22 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Kamila Borkowska (201-2002) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Montenegrin center Markeisha Gatling (196-1992, college: NC State) chipped in 19 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Lublin players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Erika Davenport (182-1997, college: Marquette) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Klaudia Sosnowska (186-1990, agency: SPORTFORUM Agency) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Lublin maintains second position with 14-4 record behind leader Gorzow Wlkp. Loser Polonia W-wa keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
