Legia outrebounded Dziki 39-27 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Dziki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International Andrzej Pluta (190-2000) fired 20 points and 9 assists for the winners. French Carl Ponsar (203-1997) chipped in 18 points. American guard Rivaldo Soares (198-1999, college: Oklahoma) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Landrius Horton (193-1998, college: Columbus St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
