Rather expected game when 6th rankedStars 2012 (1-4) was smashed by third ranked Steaua CSA (3-2) in Bucuresti 95-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSA. Stars 2012 managed to win fourth quarter 18-14 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSA dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Stars 2012 's 28. Steaua CSA forced 34 Stars 2012 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Stars 2012 's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Andrei Matei (185-2007) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Alexandru Bogdan (186-2006) accounted for 17 points, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Sebastian Anghel (-2007) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Ruben Fadur (-2007) added 13 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for Stars 2012 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Steaua CSA maintains third place with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader Laguna S., which they share with Stiinta and Voluntari 2. Stars 2012 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with CSU Galati.
