There was a surprise result when seventh rankedPloiesti CSM 2 (3-4) defeated at home second-ranked CSU ASE (5-2) 91-84 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-84. Ploiesti CSM 2 made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by swingman David-Ioan Rasoga (187-2008) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Lorenzo Diaconescu (203-2005, agency: BIG) supported him with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ploiesti CSM 2 players scored in double figures. Even 11 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists by guard Dragos Parau (179-2006, agency: One Motive Sports) did not help to save the game for CSU ASE . The former international forward Radu Paliciuc (198-1988, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ploiesti CSM 2 moved-up to fifth place, which they share with ACS Bucuresti. Loser CSU ASE keeps the second position with two games lost.
