There was an upset when higher rankedRapid (12-6) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Timisoara (8-10) 87-79 on Sunday. Rapid trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-87 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Austrian guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-1992) who scored 20 points and 6 assists. Serbian forward Adam Mirkovic (201-1991) chipped in 17 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Timisoara's coach Dragan Petricevic used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Roman Penn (182-1997, college: Drake) who recorded 22 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and his fellow American import guard Christyon Eugene (190-2001, college: Troy, agency: 011 Sports) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Rapid players scored in double figures. Timisoara maintains tenth position with 8-10 record. Loser Rapid dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Pitesti and Brasov.
