Everything went according to plan when fifth rankedPrahova (7-11) outplayed on the road 8th ranked Braila (1-17) 74-52 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Prahova. Braila managed to win second period 17-13 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Prahova made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Braila turnovers and outrebounded them 48-35 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Vlad Otelea (-2005) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and Iustin Puiulet (-2004) supported him with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Four Prahova players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by guard Alexandru Moraru (180-2006) did not help to save the game for Braila . Sergiu Draghici (-2005) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Prahova maintains fifth position with 7-11 record. Braila lost seventh consecutive game. Braila at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 17 games lost.
