Second Stage Round 6: Politehnica Iasi - Prahova 66-60

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. BothPolitehnica Iasi and their close opponent Prahova had identical 3-2 record. This time Politehnica Iasi used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ploiesti 66-60 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-60. Forward Horia Dragoslav (-2002) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Sebastian Buiciuc (-1998) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Politehnica Iasi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Iustin Puiulet (-2004) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Matei Vasile (-2005) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Politehnica Iasi went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Agronomia. Newly promoted Prahova dropped to the fourth place with three games lost.
