The biggest surprise took place in Ploiesti where hostPloiesti CSU (10-10) beat league's leader Craiova 2 (5-15) 74-60 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Ploiesti CSU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was forward Matei-Serban Mesina (196-2001) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Alexandru Chirila (-2003) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Casian Draghici (-2004) who recorded 17 points and 7 assists and Albert Buzatu (-2005) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Four Craiova 2 players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Ploiesti CSU went down to fourth position due to points difference. Craiova 2 at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by ACS Bucuresti.
