Very expected game when 16th rankedPloiesti CSM (2-28) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Sibiu (13-17) 83-78 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 23-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Sibiu made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Ploiesti CSM outrebounded Sibiu 45-28 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Jalon Pipkins (193-1998, college: PFW) who scored 29 points and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (181-1988) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was British power forward Jordan Williams (206-1995) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American Daniel Laster (199-1996, college: Gardner-Webb) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Ploiesti CSM's coach Nemanja Tomic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sibiu moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Targu Mures. Ploiesti CSM lost sixteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games.
