Rather expected game when 6th rankedAgronomia (5-9) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked Targoviste (9-5) 81-40 . It looked good early as Agronomia took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Targoviste had a 20-6 second period charge getting the lead and Agronomia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 40-81. Targoviste dominated on the defensive end, holding Agronomia to just 6 points in second quarter. They held Agronomia to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Targoviste forced 19 Agronomia turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jazmyn Turner (188-2001, college: IUPUI) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and international forward Teodora Manea (180-1999) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Targoviste players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Maria Alexe (180-2001, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with 12 points and Irina Teodosiu (-2004) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Targoviste maintains fourth position with 9-5 record. Agronomia at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sp.Studentesc.
