Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both second rankedTargoviste and 3rd placed Leii had identical 10-3 record. This time Targoviste used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Bucuresti 89-73 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-73. Targoviste dominated on the defensive end, holding Leii to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 19 Leii turnovers. Targoviste looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Ioan Rizescu (-2007) nailed 23 points for the winning side and point guard Daniel Toma (181-2004) accounted for 10 points and 6 assists. Four Targoviste players scored in double figures. Daniel Makasa came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and Teodor Telegariu (-2005) added 16 points respectively for Leii in the defeat. Leii's coach Bogdan Amariucai tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Targoviste maintains second place with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader Rising Stars. Loser Leii keeps the third position with four games lost.
