The game was mostly controlled by Cluj Napoca. Timisoara managed to win fourth quarter17-15 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cluj Napoca forced 20 Timisoara turnovers and outrebounded them 48-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cluj Napoca looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Lauryn Morris (175-2000, college: CSUSB) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Rebecca Lipovan (170-2002) supported her with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by Anastasia Semenciuc (-2007) did not help to save the game for Timisoara . Forward Bianca Calapis (178-2008) added 5 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Timisoara's coach Dan Ionescu gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
