The game had a very big importance for second-rankedUMMC as it allowed them to take a leadership position. UMMC smashed 7th ranked Enisey in Yekaterinburg 88-54 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Enisey. UMMC forced 23 Enisey turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Megan Walker (185-1998, college: UConn, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Anastasiia Kosu (185-2005, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four UMMC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Ekatarina Polyashova-Burova (189-1996, agency: LBM Management) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and center Anastasiya Bulanova (190-2004) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Enisey at the other side dropped to the eighth place with four games lost.
