Regular Season Round 7: MBA - Samara 78-82

The game between third rankedMBA (5-2) and twelfth ranked Samara (1-6) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. MBA was defeated by Samara in a tough game in Moscow 78-82 . Samara made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by MBA helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for forward Julia Poluyanova (187-1992) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Sabina Abaidullina (187-1997) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Yulia Savukova (177-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and scored 19 points. Four Samara and five MBA players scored in double figures. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diratsuyan tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Samara left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. MBA at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Nadezhda. Samara will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MBA will play on the road against Sparta&K in Vidnoye and is hoping to win this game.
