Not a big story in a game when 12th rankedNeftyanik (1-10) lost to sixth ranked MBA (7-5) in Moscow 61-71 . MBA outrebounded Neftyanik 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Victoria Cheren (187-1998) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds and Valeria Yakovleva who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Elena Mukhina (170-2002) with 16 points and swingman Kristina Safonova (183-1997) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBA moved-up to fifth place. Neftyanik lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. MBA will play against Dynamo NR (#11) in Novosibirsk in the next round where they are favorite. Neftyanik will play at home against Ivanovo to get more than just one victory in their record.
