Important game to mention about took place in Samara. Ninth rankedSamara (7-19) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 7th ranked MBA (14-12) 79-76 on Saturday evening. Samara made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. MBA was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Sabina Abaidullina (187-1997) who helped to win the game recording 26 points (made all of her eight free throws). Forward Julia Poluyanova (187-1992) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Evgenia Frolkina (182-1997) replied with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Yulia Savukova (177-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for MBA. Four MBA players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Samara maintains ninth position with 7-19 record. MBA at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Samara will play against Ivanovo (#10) at home in the next round. MBA will play against Enisey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
