UMMC Junior (#4) was upset in Kazan by seventh ranked Kazanochka 76-71 . Center Nadezhda Matrosova (185-1993) nailed 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and forward Mariya Khusainova (182-1997) accounted for 14 points. Kazanochka's coach Aleksandr Manikhin allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Sofia Golubeva (185-2006) came up with 24 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Svetlana Samusheva (173-2004) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for UMMC Junior in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kazanochka (13-14) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with MBA-2. UMMC Junior at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost.
