The game in Nitra supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Rieker KN (14-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Nitra (5-16). Rieker KN smashed Nitra 115-84 on Saturday. Rieker KN dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Nitra's 30 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Rieker KN forced 22 Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 33-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian-American forward P.J. Alawoya (203-88, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) accounted for 25 points and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Alawoya is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Serbian forward Filip Pejovic (198-89, college: Erskine) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and Serbian guard Filip Simic (185-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points respectively for Nitra in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Nitra's coach Peter Seman gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Esprit Kosice. Loser Nitra dropped to the eighth position with 16 games lost. Rieker KN will meet Karlovka (#7) in the next round. Nitra will play against Esprit Kosice and hope to secure a win.
