Regular Season Round 24: Nova Ves - Inter Bratislava 59-96
Date: January 6, 2016
Bottom-ranked Nova Ves (0-21) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 21th consecutive match to second ranked Inter Bratislava (17-4) 96-59. Inter Bratislava outrebounded Nova Ves 47-35 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The winners were led by the former international point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83, agency: 011 Sports) who scored that evening 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Montenegrin swingman Vujadin Subotic (198-81, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 20 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by swingman Vladimir Hovanak (193-82) did not help to save the game for Nova Ves. Guard Daniel Lenart (188-88) added 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Inter Bratislava have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-4 record behind leader Prievidza. Nova Ves at the other side still closes the standings. Inter Bratislava will play against league's leader Prievidza at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Iskra Svit (#6) and hope to get finally their first victory.
