Regular Season Round 15: Handlova - Karlovka 97-94

Important game to mention about took place in MBK Handlova. Eighth ranked Handlova (5-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Karlovka (4-9) 97-94 in the game for the eighth place. Handlova forced 21 Karlovka turnovers. Karlovka was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with 40 points (!!!) and 7 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Peter Sedmak (207-85, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Branislav Brlit (207-85, agency: Promotex) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Michal Kozar (191-90) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Karlovka. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Karlovka's coach Peter Ivanovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Handlova maintains eighth place with 5-8 record. Karlovka at the other side keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Handlova will play against higher ranked Iskra Svit (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Karlovka will play against Lucenec and hopes to get back on the winning track.
