Extraliga top team -MBK (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Slovan (5-6) in Bratislava 75-36 . Ruzomberok held Slovan to an opponent 19.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.3 percent accuracy of the winners and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Ruzomberok forced 26 Slovan turnovers and outrebounded them 57-25 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ruzomberok made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian forward Olha Yatskovets (188-1997, agency: LBM Management) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Ukrainian center Yvheniia Putra (191-2004) chipped in 7 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian point guard Isidora Tripkovic (167-2002) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Lucia Luttmerdingova (174-1999) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBK have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Ruzomberok maintains first place with 11-0 record. Slovan lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with six games lost.
