Regular Season Round 13: Samorin - Ruzomberok 35-76

Extraliga top team - MBK (12-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Samorin (1-12) 76-35. Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 26. Ruzomberok forced 20 Samorin turnovers and outrebounded them 41-23 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ukrainian forward Olha Yatskovets (188-1997, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Ukrainian center Yvheniia Putra (191-2004) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Ukrainian Vira Hrymaliuk (-2004) responded with 12 points and Eva Stanikova (-2004) scored 8 points. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for MBK. Ruzomberok maintains first place with 12-0 record. Samorin lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Ruzomberok will play against Kosice (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Samorin will play against B.Bystrica in Banska Bystrica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
