Bottom-rankedNEXTGEN (0-28) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 115-55 loss to ninth ranked Iskra Svit (9-19) in Svit on Wednesday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to NEXTGEN 's 36 and made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while NEXTGEN only scored ten points from the stripe. Iskra Svit forced 29 NEXTGEN turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Iskra Svit looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by NEXTGEN 's players. Forward Julius Matusek (200-2005) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners and American point guard Jalen Benjamin (178, college: Santa Clara) chipped in 16 points. Samuel Solcansky (198-2004) responded with 16 points and guard Richard Ondrus (188-2006) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iskra Svit maintains ninth place with 9-19 record. NEXTGEN lost their twenty eighth game in a row. They still close the standings.
