Very predictable result when second rankedInter Bratislava (26-10) rolled over at home bottom-ranked NEXTGEN (0-36) 88-49 on Monday. Inter Bratislava shot 26 for 37 from the free-throw line, while NEXTGEN only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded NEXTGEN 43-30 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Inter Bratislava made 10 blocks. The winners were led by Canadian Shamiel Stevenson (198-1998, college: Nebraska) who scored that evening 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and American forward Trent Buttrick (206-1998, college: UMass) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Even 10 points by Samuel Solcansky (198-2004) did not help to save the game for NEXTGEN . Forward Adam Pukancik (196-2008) added 7 points and 6 rebounds. NEXTGEN's coach Karol Wimmer gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Inter Bratislava have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 26-10 record having just two points less than leader Levice. Loser NEXTGEN still closes the standings.
