Regular Season Round 4: Kosice - Ruzomberok 45-99

Bottom-rankedKosice (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 99-45 loss to fourth ranked Ruzomberok (3-1) in Kosice on Saturday evening. They also forced 29 Kosice turnovers and outrebounded them 39-21 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ruzomberok looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Kosice 's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ruzomberok made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin guard Sofija Zivaljevic (179-1997, college: NDSU) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Martina Krajcirova (189-1992) responded with 18 points and 7 assists and Emma Kmetoniova scored 6 points and 4 assists. Kosice's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ruzomberok moved-up to third place, which they share with Slovan and Young Angels. Loser Kosice still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Trencin.
