There was a change at the Extraliga leadership position after last games. Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leaderPiestanske C. (7-2). They were defeated by second ranked Slavia (8-1) 75-66 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. American power forward Faith Simpson (188-2000, college: NWOSU) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Italian guard Elisa Pinzan (173-1999, college: Maryland) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. The best for the losing side was Swiss forward Lin Schwarz (186-2003, agency: LBM Management) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and scored 13 points and 4 assists. Piestanske C.'s coach Peter Jankovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Slavia keeps a position of league leader. Defending champion Piestanske C. dropped to the third place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Slavia BB.
