Fourth-rankedSlovan (11-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Blue Wings (15-5) in Nitra on Wednesday. Blue Wings managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85 . However their fans expected easier game. 27 personal fouls committed by Slovan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jordan Jones (183, college: CCSU) who scored 29 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The other American import forward Dimitrius Underwood (193-1998, college: Charleston, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Blue Wings players scored in double figures. Blue Wings' coach Martin Blaho used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Canadian Shamiel Stevenson (198-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international center Tomas Pavelka (217-2000) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Blue Wings maintains second position with 15-5 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Levice. Slovan at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost.
