Rather predictable result when Kosice edged B.Bystrica in Banska Bystrica 60-57 on Saturday. Lucia Kasperanova (175-1998) notched 20 points and 5 steals to lead the effort and Eva Stanikova (-2004) supported her with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Kosice's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds by Ukrainian center Viktoriia Rostotska (187-2002) did not help to save the game for B.Bystrica. point guard Jana Matejcikova (168-1997) added 15 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Kosice will meet at home Trencin in the next round. B.Bystrica will play against Klokani and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
