Second Stage Round 6: Triglav - Domzale 86-45

Bottom-ranked Domzale (0-6) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Triglav (5-1) 86-45. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Triglav forced 22 Domzale turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Domzale's players. Forward Manca Vrecer (178-2002) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and the former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-1993) supported her with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 7 rebounds by Montenegrin guard Ana Markovic (177-2004) did not help to save the game for Domzale. Guard Eva Dolanc (175-2004) added 6 points. Domzale's coach Tomo Oresnik gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Triglav have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Domzale at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Triglav will play against Jezica (#3) in Ljubljana in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Domzale will play at home against Maribor (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
