Regular Season Round 16: Triglav - Maribor 72-51

An interesting game forTriglav (9-7) which hosted in Kranj one of their biggest challengers Maribor (7-8). Third ranked Triglav had an easy win 72-51 . Triglav players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Lara Kozina-Bubnic (190-1999) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and forward Manca Vrecer (178-2002) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Tiana Meglic-Steharnik (180-2003) responded with 9 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and Serbian swingman Jelena Grujic (178-2005) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Triglav maintains third position with 9-7 record having nine points less than leader Celje. Maribor at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost.
