Regular Season Round 14: KT Sonicboom - Mobis Phoebus 96-97

The most exciting game of round 14 in the KBL took place in Busan. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked KT Sonicboom (12-7) to first ranked Mobis Phoebus (16-3) 97-96 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KT Sonicboom. Mobis Phoebus looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Dong-Geun Yang (181-81) contributed with 11 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) replied with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Polish guard David Logan (182-82, college: Indianapolis) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for KT Sonicboom. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mobis Phoebus have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-3 record. KT Sonicboom at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Mobis Phoebus are looking forward to face Anyang KGC (#5) at home in the next round. KT Sonicboom will play against ET Land Elephants in Inchon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
