Regular Season Round 18: Mobis Phoebus - KCC Egis 76-93

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Mobis Phoebus (22-4) in Ulsan on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked KCC Egis (11-13) 93-76. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Mobis Phoebus. KCC Egis looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) with 22 points and the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mobis Phoebus' coach Jae-Hak Yoo rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory KCC Egis went down to seventh position due to points difference. Mobis Phoebus at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. KCC Egis are looking forward to face higher ranked DB Promy (#6) in Wonju in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mobis Phoebus will have a break next round.
