No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Fuenlabrada (8-6) beat 12th ranked Canarias (4-10) in Madrid 61-56. The game without a history. Fuenlabrada led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Latvian power forward Rolands Smits (207-95) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Mali Boubacar Moungoro (196-94, college: High School) chipped in 11 points. Fuenlabrada's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Kaleb Wright (193, college: Emporia St.) who recorded 16 points and 4 steals and Slovakian center Norbert Janicek (209-96) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Fuenlabrada moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Avila and Marin. Newly promoted Canarias keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Fuenlabrada's next round opponent will be Cambados (#9) at home. Canarias will play against Araberri in Vitoria-Gasteiz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
