Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Torrelodones and 7th ranked Alcobendas had identical 4-4 record. This time Torrelodones used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Alcobendas 89-59 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Torrelodones led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Torrelodones had a 38-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Javier Salson (199-82, college: Bloomfield, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Djounorou chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Torrelodones players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Jose Maria Gil (207-91) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Daniel Trachsel (202-94) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Torrelodones (5-4) moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Real Canoe. Loser Alcobendas dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Torrelodones will face higher ranked Azuqueca (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alcobendas will play against Real Canoe (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
