Regular Season Round 14: Chantada - Vigren 77-92

We should not miss the game where sixth ranked Vigren (6-3) against Chantada (5-4) where Vigren won on the road by fifteen points 92-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chantada. The game without a history. Vigren led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Michael Balkovic (198-93, college: Caldwell, agency: Dynamics Global Management) notched 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and British Matthew Don (201-93, college: Cameron) supported him with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Five Vigren players scored in double figures. Vigren's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals by point guard Carlos Noguerol (186-93) did not help to save the game for Chantada. Point guard Jacobo De Benito (180-90) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Vigren have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group A-B, which they share with Leon. Chantada at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Vigren's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zamora Grupo Inec Z..
