No shocking result in a game in Melilla where first ranked Medacbasket (9-2) won against 8th ranked CAM E.Soler (2-9) 78-72 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 21-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Medacbasket forced 20 CAM E.Soler turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Alex Jackson (200-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Center Jose Maria Del Rio (203-91) helped adding 7 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Jose Martinez (201-88) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and American center K.C. Robbins (210-88, college: Ill.-Chicago) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four CAM E.Soler players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Medacbasket. Newly promoted Medacbasket maintains first place in Group D-East with 9-2 record. CAM E.Soler lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Medacbasket will face Cordoba (#4) on the road in the next round. CAM E.Soler will play against Novaschool (#6) in Malaga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
