Regular Season Round 15: L'Hospitalet - Miramar 68-58

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Miramar (7-8) was defeated on the road by leader L'Hospitalet (15-0) 68-58 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-58. L'Hospitalet forced 22 Miramar turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Edgar San Epifanio (196-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points. Naturalized Dominican power forward Michel Acosta (201-92) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Alberto Garcia (192-87) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and center Carlos Poyatos (207-94) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Miramar's coach Pau Tomas tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for L'Hospitalet. They maintain first place in Group C-B with 15-0 record. Newly promoted Miramar keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. L'Hospitalet will face Castellbisbal (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Miramar will play against Igualada and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
