Regular Season Round 17: Zarautz - Easo 51-56

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Easo (10-3) won against on the road 11th ranked Zarautz (3-10) 56-51 on Sunday. Zarautz was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Easo forced 25 Zarautz turnovers. Point guard Inigo Del Valle (188-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 6 points and 6 rebounds. Center Manex Eizmendi (200-92) contributed with 6 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Iker Lizarriturri (194-78) answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Estanislao Andres (185-90) added 13 points in the effort for Zarautz. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Easo moved-up to second place in Group A-A, which they share with 3 other teams. Zarautz lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Easo will face league's second-placed Estela in Santander in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zarautz will play on the road against Santurtzi (#5) and hope to win that game.
