Regular Season Round 21: Venta de Banos - Valladolid Univ. 73-97

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Venta de Banos (3-13) was outplayed at home by tenth ranked Valladolid Univ. (7-10) 97-73 on Saturday. Valladolid Univ. dominated on the defensive end, holding Venta de Banos to just 4 points in second quarter. They were well out of reach of Venta de Banos shooting 72.3 percent from the field and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Valladolid Univ. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Power forward Alvaro Encinas (202-94) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and forward Axel Castillo (194-88) chipped in 10 points. Five Valladolid Univ. players scored in double figures.
