Joventut was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Madrid 82-65 on Friday night. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's pressure prevailed and they won that period 29-17 extending their advantage to 17 points. The former international point guard Carlos Cabezas (186-80) notched 18 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (210-82) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points and 4 assists by the former international swingman Sergi Vidal (198-81) did not help to save the game for Joventut. International swingman Alberto Abalde (200-95) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will meet at home Unicaja Malaga (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Joventut will play against Andorra (#5) and hope to win that game.
