Regular Season Round 2: Gandia - L'Hospitalet 86-81

There was a minor upset when L'Hospitalet (1-1) was defeated on the road by Gandia (1-1) 86-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 20-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Guinea forward Cheick Sekou Conde (203-92) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Argentinian Agustin Ambrosino (203-90, college: BYU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Ambrosino is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Edgar San Epifanio (196-87) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gandia will face CB Granada (#4) on the road in the next round. L'Hospitalet will play against CB Tarragona 2017 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
