Regular Season Round 4: Real Canoe - Torrelodones 81-51
Date: October 15, 2016
Everything went according to plan in Madrid where fourth ranked Real Canoe (3-1) outscored 10th ranked Torrelodones (1-2) 81-51 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 46-15 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Real Canoe dominated on the defensive end, holding Torrelodones to just 3 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 23 Torrelodones turnovers. Torrelodones was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ander Martinez (199-95, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Daniel Yusta (201-86) who added 10 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Alejandro Herreros (189-96) responded with 8 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ruben Portes (192-81) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Real Canoe maintains fourth position in Group B with 3-1 record, which they share with Gran Canaria B. Loser Torrelodones keeps the tenth place with two games lost. Real Canoe's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Estudiantes B.
