Regular Season Round 8: Andujar - Cazorla 73-77

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Cazorla (3-3) beat on the road one of their biggest challengers Andujar (3-3) 77-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 24-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Cazorla forced 19 Andujar turnovers. Strangely Andujar outrebounded Cazorla 44-28 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Vadal Faniel (201, college: Texas A&M Int.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard K.J. Bluford (185, college: E.Kentucky) who added 26 points during the contest. Center Diego Perez (204-93) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Antonio Garcia (202-86) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Andujar players scored in double figures. Andujar's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cazorla moved-up to third place in Group D-A, which they share with Andujar and Unicaja B.
